About
Hi, I'm Miss Kim - a maths teacher who cares as much about the why behind a concept as the how.
I've taught maths for more than ten years, including as Head of Maths - so I know the syllabus from Year 3 through to Extension 2, and I know where students tend to come unstuck long before they get there.
Every student here gets patient, structured support built around what they actually need - whether they're laying foundations in Year 3 or sitting down to their HSC papers. Lessons are small by design, so nobody spends an hour quietly stuck.
I write all of my own booklets. Each one is mapped to the NSW syllabus, built up in small steps, and written in plain language - with the common mistakes named on the page, because knowing the trap is half of avoiding it.

My Approach
I've taught students at state-ranking calibre, and I've taught students who walked in at 40% and walked out of their next exam with 80%.
Both got there the same way. Great results come from absolute clarity about what a question is really asking, and then the hard work of doing it until it's automatic - there's no shortcut around either half.
Every session runs the same way, from Year 3 to Extension 2.

More than ten years teaching experience, including as Head of Maths, means I know how papers are written and marked - so students learn to present their work in a way that actually earns the marks.
Groups are small on purpose, so I catch a misunderstanding as it happens rather than at the next exam - and practice is chosen for each student's gaps and upcoming assessments.
Every course is designed from the foundations up - what a student lays down in the first term is what the senior years stand on. Homework routines start in lesson one and hold all year.

Targeted preparation for the numeracy component of LANTITE - not a general maths course. We cover the skills the test actually assesses, in the everyday contexts the questions are set in, and drill the two things that trip most people up: reading the question properly, and finishing in time.
Whether you haven't touched maths since school or you're re-sitting after a near miss, both are perfectly normal places to start.
Round up two or three people from your cohort and come as a group - you're all sitting the same test on the same timeline, and it's by far the most affordable way to prepare. Just note in your enquiry that you're enrolling together.

Recommended hours are a guide, not a requirement - tell me what suits your

Small groups are capped at six students. Booklets and all materials are included.
LANTITE candidates: enrol with friends from your cohort to secure the small group rate.
A one-page summary of how payment and attendance work - paying per term to hold your weekly spot, the one make-up lesson per term, and what happens when a lesson is missed.
Timetable
The weekly view is the regular term schedule; the live calendar shows exact dates, holidays and one-off changes. Open blocks are available for private one-to-one sessions or a new group, and weekend classes run subject to demand - ask and I'll find a time.
